TPSS+ Training Course – Level 3

In a focused effort to enhance trauma support proficiency, the Trauma Psychosocial Support Training Course, Level 3, took place at the Golden Palace Serenada Hotel from October 1 to 5, 2022. This 5-day immersive workshop gathered 20 experienced psychosocial providers who had each successfully completed the prerequisites of Level 2.
Guided by expert trainers Mr. Frank Hofmann and Ms. Mirjam Goihl, alongside a skilled facilitation team, participants explored various crucial topics. The curriculum included in-depth sessions on attachment, prolonged grief, and self-harming behaviors, offering attendees a holistic understanding of the multifaceted nature of trauma’s aftermath. The training went beyond theory, empowering participants with practical skills, focusing on how to employ psychoeducation, stabilization techniques, and resourcing strategies in real-world cases.
As the event concluded on October 5, 2022, participants left with a heightened sense of competence and a renewed commitment to their vital roles as trauma psychosocial support providers. The training course not only expanded their skill set but also fostered a network of like-minded professionals who can continue to collaborate and share insights in the complex field of trauma support.
Building on the achievements of this workshop, summary and supervision sessions will be conducted to ensure participants have absorbed the knowledge and to monitor their integration of the newly acquired techniques into their work with beneficiaries.
