Membership
Membership Requirements:
- To be a Lebanese citizen.
- To have a minimum of academic eligibility which is a Master’s degree in a mental health field (Psychology or Psychiatry).
- To have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a therapist after receiving the Master’s degree.
- To have a license to practice from the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health.
- To have participated in an in-person Basic EMDR Therapy Training Course, and received a “Certificate of Completion”.
- To accept the rules and regulations of the association and work to achieve its goals.
- Must have his/her civil rights and not be convicted of any offense or crime.
Membership Benefits:
- Become well informed, supported, and accompanied while following the required steps to become a Certified EMDR Therapist or an Approved EMDR Consultant.
- Get a reduced fee to EMDR workshops and training.
- Be listed on the “Find a Therapist” section on the website of EMDR Lebanon Association after the approval of the Standards Committee.
- Get a reduced membership fee to EMDRIA (optional).
- Get access to the resources present in the private area section on this website.
- Get information updates on new developments in EMDR therapy.
- Take part in the advancement of spreading awareness of EMDR therapy to the community.
How to Apply to Become a Member?
If a practitioner wishes to become a member in EMDR Lebanon Association, he/she needs to send the following:
- Fill the membership application (Membership Application).
- Curriculum Vitae CV.
- A photocopy or a scan of ID.
- A photocopy or scan of the highest university degree.
- A photocopy or scan of the license from the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health to practice as a clinical or educational psychologist or a psychiatrist.
- A letter of reference or recommendation that proves that he/she has a minimum of 2 years of experience in therapy after the Master’s degree.
- A photocopy or scan of the “Certificate of Completion” of the in-person Basic EMDR Therapy Training Course.
