EMDR Lebanon Association is organizing a third 2-days workshop that is being presented by Dr. Joany Spierings from the Netherlands. She is a clinical psychologist, a certified EMDR therapist since 1994, and a senior approved consultant in EMDR Europe Association. She is a founding member of the EMDR Europe Association and EMDR Holland Association.
This advanced EMDR workshop aims to teach clinicians who are trained in EMDR therapy that there are 6 different areas that can cause EMDR-treatments to get stuck, and it will present different ideas and interventions to approach each of these problems. The problem areas are: (1) The function of the problem for the client, (2) the therapeutic relationship, (3) case conceptualization, (4) timing and phasing, (5) EMDR techniques and procedure, and (6) interweaves.

This workshop is only open to clinicians who are fully trained in EMDR Therapy, that is, those who have received the “Certificate of Completion” of the Basic EMDR Therapy Training Course as required by EMDR Institute USA, EMDRIA, and EMDR Europe Association.
This workshop is being presented in English, but instant Arabic translation is provided. Handouts and materials will be both in English and Arabic.
At the end of the 2-days workshop, the participants will receive a “Certificate of Attendance” and 13 EMDRIA credits of continued education units (CEU).
N.B. Full Attendance is a must. It is important to note that the “Certificate of Attendance” will not be delivered for those who miss any of the sessions.
