EMDR Lebanon Association is organizing a one-day workshop which is being presented by Mr. Emre Konuk, from Turkey. He is a clinical psychologist and an accredited EMDR trainer approved by EMDR Europe. He is the president of EMDR Turkey Association and the Institute for Behavioral Studies in Istanbul.
This new continued education EMDR workshop aims to present and discuss issues related to trauma work and EMDR therapy. The first topic shows the link between early childhood traumatic stress, mental health, and physical disease. it also discusses the present situation of mental health services in developing countries and encourages building trauma-focused interventions in our communities. The second topic is related to how to use EMDR Therapy in the treatment of phobias. Participants will learn how to do case formulation and treatment planning; they will practice using the “Flashforward” procedure. The third topic is related to how to use EMDR Therapy in the treatment of migraine and fibromyalgia. Participants will learn how to do case formulation and treatment planning, as well as, the steps to follow in the application of the EMDR protocol for migraine and fibromyalgia.
This workshop is only open to clinicians who are fully trained in EMDR Therapy, that is, those who have completed the Basic EMDR Training Course (Levels 1 & 2).
At the end of the workshop, the participants will receive a “certificate of attendance” and 6 EMDRIA credits of continued education units (CEU).
